Draw-A-Day Wednesday 19th June – Picasso

Probably Spain’s most famous export, Picasso is an artist well-worth re-visiting over again.  His work became far more expressive as his life progressed, but believe me, he could draw like an angel.  His earlier work is very figurative, and I think that his post-impressionistic ‘blue period’ is a great example of mixing realism with emotions… after all, this is where the term ‘feeling blue’ came from.

Have a look at his ‘Child With Dove’; very cute, expressive, and compositionally balanced… here is your draw for today!
