Draw-A-Day Wednesday 28th August – Ulysses

In 1935, Matisse was paid by a wealthy American to produce a series of six etchings for a publication of James Joyce’s ‘Ulysses’, which have a wonderful tonal quality and composition depicted with delicate softness.

Google ‘Matisse Ulysses’, go to Images, and choose one to copy, or draw a subject in this manner.  they are all works which fit perfectly into the boxiness of the frame.
